What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MI

My husband served his ex-wife with the motions he submitted on 2/23 that same day (2/23) through first class mail with delivery confirmation (per the instructions on the motion forms). The USPS tracking service is not showing that this has even entered the mail stream at this point (supposed to be 1-2 day service), and with these being time sensitive documents, would you suggest he have her served in person,as well, just to be safe? Or resend through the mail?

Thank you!
