My husband & I may Divorce, but we live together. He is emotionally abusive, vendictive, and has deep rooted family problems, how would Divorce papers be served to him. Iam afraid of his reaction to the letter, because he gets his mail when he gets home at night. Iam home at night, so when he reads the later his reaction may turn violent.

Please respond, Thank You!

Why are you still living together if he is abusive to you and you want a divorce?

Anyway, I would suggest that you not be home when he reads it. Can you kind of determine what day they will be sent? If so, leave and go to a friends or family members home. Give him the space he needs to vent his frustration without you being there to vent it on. Does he not even know you are filing for divorce? Normally, these things are discussed especially being still in the same home.
