prior to an upcoming settlement conference in a personal injury case, i have to submit a settlement conference statement.

do i have to cite case law, codes, statutes, etc. in this statement or just present "my case" in real language minus all the legalese?

thanks for your help!

My response:

This will be your statement of the case, and the controlling applicable law.

And you thought you'd save a few bucks by doing this yourself! What happens when your case goes to trial? What then?

As you can see, your case is getting progressively more and more difficult, the closer you get to the trial date.
