Can settlement letters and/or their content be used as evidence in court? I think that statements or material concerning settlements are not admissible, correct?

Should these letters be sent with any certain postage like certified mail etc. If so, which?

My response:

Courts, generally, do not allow letters of settlement negotiations to be entered into evidence. However, since this is Small Claims court, the rules of evidence may be more "relaxed" in Ohio. Therefore, it may be advisable to make all intentions of settlement and their negotiations, oral. Deniability is your watchword.
