What is the name of your state? VA
So I have a general question to ask about this type of law.
My lawyer has agreed to a settlement from a major manufacturer, and I just received the paperwork for signing.
No agreement with the lawyer and myself was setup prior to discussing with the car company, as they stated that their fees would be paid directly from the manufacturer. Now that I see the full settlement, I am curious how the big pie gets sliced between myself and my lawyer.
Is there a standard, "Rule of Thumb", percentage/Dollar figure per case that this law uses for the legal fees? (such as, 50% or $3000, which ever is more, 33%/67% no matter the total, etc.)
Thanks in advance.
