I was involved in a car accident when I was a minor. I was suspossed to receive a settlement. The settlement was over 10,000. My mother spent all of it while she was in Texas. I live in Rhode Island. I haven't lived with her since I was 18 I just now found out she spent it because I was looking to get the settlement. How would I go about this ?

Suing your mother for $10,000?

Assuming that any applicable statute of limitations hasn't run out you can sue her in TX small claims court. The limit is $10,000.
