What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? - Colorado
I just moved here from Phoenix Arizona
to Denver CO, unfortunately I ran into some problems with my landlord
and am in desperate need of good advice, and help. I am currently on
unemployment and can only afford my bills at the moment. I originally
moved here with my ex Girlfriend CG, and am all alone now
and really scared of what is happening and I would love for you to
take the time to look into the problems I am having or forward this
information to someone that may be able to help.

I have contacted almost every state/local agency for help and am
running out of places to look, I have contacted the landlord tenant
hotline and was given only 1 answer, "move, and give up" this is
really sad because there is obvious laws being broken and rights being
violated

Quick Summary:(For more detail/better explaination see Detailed
Summary attached)
Landlord is trying to Retaliate, because the apartment is not up to
code, there is breaches of habitability(broken windows). And is trying
to escape his obligations.
Basically my ex and I broke up, we filled out an application with both
our names for an apartment, our landlord accepted it and our security
deposit while we were still in Phoenix, the landlord never gave us a
lease to sign, possibly because the apartment is not up to code.
C and I have notified the landlord on several occasions that the
fallen in roof and broken windows need to be fixed, all we have heard
is excuses. Recently chanel and I broke up, I had to get a
restraining order on her because of verbal abuse and threats, her mom
and her have a closer relationship to the landlord than I do since
they have dealt with him for years. The judge ordered C out of
our apartment when C said in court, "K is on the Lease and can
have the place". So I stayed at the courthouse while C took her
things from the apartment so we didnt have to have a constable or
stand-by involved and chanel took the rent reciepts, and apartment
application with both our names on it. I came home called my landlord
and told him the situation and he said im not on the lease and he
wants me out immediately or he will remove be by force or by the
police. I have recorded conversations with him and his Manager
refusing rent from me and acknowledging I have lived there and was
paying. I also took the time to transcribe the one recording for ease
of readability since it is quite hard to listen to. I also recently
said I would report him to NIS(code inspector) if he refused to fix
the problems in my apartment, ever since then he has refused to fix a
thing and has been threatening me to leave. He also agree'd back in
may for reduced rent of 300 dollars until the issues are resolved
after I wrote him a letter I will attach.

I recorded a conversation with my landlord this morning and it seems he has signed a lease with my ex girlfriend to move back in my apartment in the past week(when there wasnt a lease signed when we moved in)(they did this for documentation and ease of eviction), when she was ordered out by a Judge the order says that she may not return to this address. Also he said he may take money from me and let me stay but I really dont want to stay because this guy is shady and just signed a new lease with my ex when she doesn't even live here anymore or is allowed here

Basically this landlord is retaliating against me and really making my
life extremely hard right now, I just broke up with my girlfriend and
have had to deal with my mothers, grandparents, and cousins death. I
am an honest person and believe in integrity and the legal system, I
am a giving person and will do anything for some good advice and help.
Please assist me in this matter, I would like some Pro-Bono
assistance, and I can also donate my time and help a lawyer/secretary
out with anything(I am very talented). I have allot of clerical
experience and computer experience, I run my own computer howto
websites and help people all the time. If you can do me this favor I
will be forever in your debt.
