sex offender on college campus

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california
yikes...i inadvertently became aware that one of the board of trustees (executive director at that!) is a registered sex offender who frequently visits our local community college campus. i don't know who to tell that he is on the Megan's Law website..photograph and all...or should i just mind my own business? I know if I were a parent of one of those kids I'd surely want to know but don't want to break any laws myself by turning him in! Any suggestions? This campus also has grade school students for various community events and programs.

Who do you want to tell? Turn him in to who? If he is not breaking any law, all you will be doing is releasing information that is already publicly available. However, you want to be careful not to be seen as unreasonably harassing someone.

Perhaps tell your friends to check the Megan's Law website for themselves if you are concerned for their safety.
