Me and my girlfriend work in construction, and we were going to a new job. It was a 52 floor building, and when we went in, they told her there are no girls allowed to work here. We are only drywall finishers, and I disagree with what they said. To add insult to injury, there already was girls working at the job, and still are. Since she was not allowed to work, she remains jobless, and is not trying to find a job while her bills are becoming late. Can my girlfriend pursuit legal action.

If there are already women working there, then obviously there is no real regulation that they will not hire women and there was some other reason they did not want to hire her. If she were to bring a claim, all they would have to do is point to the fact that other women work there and the claim would be dismissed.

Even if she had a legitimate claim, she is not helping her cause by not looking for other work. A claimant is expected to mitigate her damages. That means she can't sit on her butt while her bills become late and expect a big windfall. Even if she won (which she wouldn't, based on what you've said) does she understand that such cases generally can take a couple of years to be resolved? What does she plan to do about paying her bills in the meantime?
