For the past six months I have been an employee at one of the "Big 5" accounting/consulting firms in NJ. My supervisor's constant sexually harrassing comments and gestures along with pornographic material he sent to me at home as a "joke" (which I saved) drove me to tears. I left on Monday and have been in touch with HR who advised me that they are going to conduct an internal investigation. I don't believe that they will have my best interests in mind. Being that my supervisor is a Partner at the firm they will do what they can to protect his job and his reputation while my I had to sacrifice my position to remove myself from unbearable working conditions. I want justice...what are my legal rights? Are they obligated to keep me as an employee under these circumstances? PLEASE HELP>>>>>

You do have protection and rights for what you have gone through. The only news I have for you is that the employer is not required under federal law to retain you. What they are required to do is to prevent a hostile environment and sexual discrimination such as you suffered. You are absolutely right that the HR will not have your best interests at heart. So immediately consult with a labor lawyer near you. You can find one at attorneypages.com
