What is the name of your state? FL

Here is my situation. I am a 24 year old Engineering student who has been working at Lockheed ****** for over 2 years. Recently they decided I needed a Secret clearance. However, for the past year or so I have been smoking marijuana. I passed the drug test to get the job and havnt had one since...until recently.

I went to the doctor to complain about lack of focus and he prescribed me adderall. As a pretense to keeping the prescription he told me that I must quit all drugs I am on. I confessed to my doctor that I smoked weed and he didnt seem to care past the fact that I stop from here on out to keep my prescription. When I got the blood work/urine test required for the new prescription I tested positive for marijuana usage (even though i delayed a week or so in taking the test) At the time I didnt think anything of it because whatever information that was in that drug test is protected because its "medical records" i assumed. I got a notice from the doctor to come see him regarding my blood work/urine test. I went in and asked how the adderall was and i said great. He mentioned that I failed the urine test but I explained that it was still in my system from before I recieved the prescription. He, once again, seemed like he could care less and signed off on another month's supply.

This is when the problem starts. Two days later is when I am told I need a Secret clearance at my job. At first I dont think anything of it until I realize that I must disclose my medical records. Questions numbered for easy answering.
1. Since this drug test was requested by a doctor (it actually was done by a 3rd party clinic) is that test protected? or can they see the drug test?
2. It says the medical information they look at will only pertain to mental health...but doesnt my need of adderall constitute mental health and then will the test show up?
3. There is no other record of drug use anywhere in my record...what risk do I run in saying no use?
4. I have since stopped using so if I do admit to it will the fact that I have stopped mitigate the drug use even though it was fairly recent?
5. If they see the drug use/ or from me admitting it and they deny my clearance can will the reasons for the denial be confidential or will Lockheed and any future employer know them?
6. Lastly, is there anyway to get something in your medical record...oh lets just use for an example...a drug test....erased from your medical record or have it removed?

I meet with my doctor on monday to discuss all this so details I am unsure of right now are is the drug test actually in my medical record...i assume the worst yes that it is and also can the doctor eliminate or write off the test...i assume the worst here to that no he cannot. this is quite a situation and has MASSIVE implications on my future. I plan to go to law school and become a lawyer so this might be VERY important. thank you for any help you can provide

add on: when i stated that i "need" the clearance..i dont. I can do my job without it suffice that other students in my department get theres which i assume is likely. So would it be in my best interest to just deny the clearance? I would really like the clearance seeing that it looks really good on resumes...but on the other hand denial of clearance looks 10 times as bad

1. Since this drug test was requested by a doctor (it actually was done by a 3rd party clinic) is that test protected? or can they see the drug test?
--> You signing SF86 gives the government investigators authority to go over ALL medical records pertaining to you

2. It says the medical information they look at will only pertain to mental health...but doesnt my need of adderall constitute mental health and then will the test show up?
--> They investigate ALL records

3. There is no other record of drug use anywhere in my record...what risk do I run in saying no use?
--> Remember they will talk to your references and acquaintenances. Can you guarantee they won't talk? Admit to casual use in the past

4. I have since stopped using so if I do admit to it will the fact that I have stopped mitigate the drug use even though it was fairly recent?
--> Ask your doctor to have another drug test done. That will be a matter of record as well, and more recent

5. If they see the drug use/ or from me admitting it and they deny my clearance can will the reasons for the denial be confidential or will Lockheed and any future employer know them?
--> There will probably be a notation (or letter codes) as to why the clearance wasn't granted it could be wording similar to 'due to previous drug usage', or just 'drug use'.
--> Just admit to usage in the past

6. Lastly, is there anyway to get something in your medical record...oh lets just use for an example...a drug test....erased from your medical record or have it removed?
--> It is against the law to alter medical records

I worked as a civilian for the military. I did the National SF-86 Questionnaires for recruits. If they found out they lied, they got into deep trouble.

Is this company military? Are you a contracted civilian?
