Hi, my ex-girlfriend lied in court and said I broke into her house recently. In Oct 2003, she called the cops, lied that I beat her and they took me to jail, the district attorney never filed charges against me. I have no idea why? Couple of weeks later I got a letter from the police station stating they dropped the charges against me. In court last week, my ex-girlfriend lied again about the incident in Oct 2003, and now lying that I broke into her house three weeks ago. I was falsely convicted for Domestic Violence because of that incident in Oct 2003, on a "Reasonable Doubt." What can I do to appeal this case? How much will it cost me? What forms do I need? The judge grant her the restraining order she wanted against me. I got three years to stay away from her, I wish he had ordered me for life ... but the other way around.... and on top of that I got fifty-two week of Batterer Program. The case was filed in Civil Court, does this domestic violence charge stays on my records for ever?????? I guess I will have problems getting a job now? What should I do? I think she only got a restraining order on me so that she can get me in deeper trouble, please help me.

my friend just got in trouble for the same thing and hes feeling hopeless. unfortunately the courts are geared to believe the woman on the basis better to be safe than sorry. unfortunately the old saying hell hath no furry like a scorned woman is the phrase of the week. sorry youre going through this. unless you can prove she lied or unbelieveable, find a way to live with a record and try to get on with life. trust me, i cant believe this either. seems they need to make a clear law that if they find no evidence of the incident then they would go after the accuser just as hard

I'm living proof, I took a girl to court on domestic violence/harassment charges and I won! All you have to do is create an email account using her name, and send yourself death threats etc... place an ad on dating sites and slander your own profile, make it real vile. print it out and tell the judge she did it... it worked for me what really works is this... when you set up fake profiles on Matchmaker, cause it's free for a week, you can pretend to be a chick, and have guys call your house, then tell them that you are being harassed and that your ex g/f is doing it. Call the police and make a report so you'll have that evidence when you go before a judge. I got all these guys to email me and tell me what this "girl" did.. .which was really me, follow?
there are lots of ways you can make stuff up on the internet so it looks as if SHE is the one doing things back to you.... she'll deny it of course but you'll have emails and they'll have to believe you.
Have neighbors say in a sworn document that they saw her at your house looking in windows or whatever, just the threat of her there will make the judge think she is stalking you. good luck. it worked for me
