What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? new york

i live in a homeless shelter in Bronx ny.

this shelter forces people to get on the welfare. they said it is the law that once you enter their shelteryou must apply of welfare.

i am employed part time on call with the department of education. yet they have forced me to apply to welfare to stay in this shelter.

do i have a right to sue

Please see her other posts -- she has been married 20 years, only lived with the guy 1+ year and wants to get his inherited property that is in another country.
