I had a van repo'ed in november 02 and was unable to pay that and two small loans. I filed chapter 7 last year but it was dismissed this july since i missed payments. my wife and I are both on this debt. They have now come after me with a deputy sheriff for personal property siezure. I called the deputy and he said he wants to take my car and mabye other things in the house. I am unemployed and my wife is out on disability. my question(s) are this can they take the truck that is in our business name. can they take items that belong to my children and what kind of legal documents should they be carrying when they show up. also can I work out a deal with the lawyers the credit union hired.
