undefinedWhat is the name of your state? Missouri, Parville area, 64152.

I was arrested on the second of February for shop lifting about 30$ worth of groceries and some books and CD's from the local public library. I admitted to everything, all the merchadise was returned, and I was released on a signature bond. I was thinking about just hanging my head, admitting to the prosecutor what I had done and making some kind of plea bargain. I really can not afford a fin, I have been um-employed for alomost six months and am terribly desperate. Any idea what might help me?

MY RESPONSE: Your public library also sells groceries? Psssst. I've got some news for you . . . with a free library card, you could have checked out and borrowed the books and CD's for free. You didn't need to steal them.

I admitted to everything, all the merchadise was returned, and I was released on a signature bond. I was thinking about just hanging my head, admitting to the prosecutor what I had done and making some kind of plea bargain.

MY RESPONSE: That's a good thing to do. Admit your fault. Then, you won't have to worry about housing or where your next meal is coming from. You'll be getting three "square meals" a day. It's called "jail".

I really can not afford a fin, I have been um-employed for alomost six months and am terribly desperate. Any idea what might help me?

MY RESPONSE: "Um-employed"? Did you mean "unemployed"? Have you ever heard of Welfare and Food Stamps, so that you can eat and not have to steal food? If you're that "down and out", then why didn't you apply for Welfare? Why the hell do you think we're all paying taxes?

Get a steady job. This will help you when you go to court.

My state is Missouri. I have found seasonal work with H&R Block, I wondered whether I should plee with the Prosecutor. I just need a little direction and what I might be in for..

I doubt that the prosecutor will talk to you directly. You need to get a public defender or your own private attorney.

Public Defender

Do ou know how I might go about getting a public defender. The police told me that I would have to keep my original court date and as the judge then if I could have a pd and they would tell me yes or no. I just didn't want to get railroaded and surprised by anything on my court date..
