What is the name of your state? Arizona

Hello, I was behind on rent 1 1/2 months, (I have lived here for 10 months) I let a couple move in for $500 a month.This was a verbal month to month agreement. (one month later) Three to Four days before rent was due, At the end of September,she personnaly collected the $500 from the new roomates, without either one of them letting me know. I was prepared to give her $1200. (I still owed $525 after I paid her $1200. Two days before I was to pay rent I received a 5 day quit or pay. I went to her and said here is $1200 and that is when she informed me that she couldn't take my money because of legal proceedings. I then went to the county assessors office and found out the parcel # I lived in and the out of state owners name and his managing agents name, the address and numbers were the same, and they lived in california, not australia. I then called the number provided and a gentleman said I had the wrong number.

When I went to court last week judge had dismissed my case. The lady who tried to evict me was not the owner, or managing agent.

last of all yesterday, (if I would of lost my case) I was to be out, the land lady told the roomates I was leaving, when they asked me when I got home that night why I wasn't out. She illegally rented to me. I Now I'm afraid I'm going to need some help. What do I do. Please help, If what I read about the law in az is correct, I could be in front of the judge in 3 days from tomorrow.
On another forcible detainer.

So you do not pay your rent but you move new people in and try to collect rent from them.....

I would love to offer somthing that might help you out, but have no idea who the parties are to this issue.

Please define her, she, they, landlady and what this has to do with Australia.


As an alternative, you can live by the golden rule of renting an apartment:

If you want to stay you got to pay.

The landlord does not care about your personal problems. This is a business.

I apologize for the confusion, I will slow down this time. and try not to make this long. The landlord/manager of HOA condo complex, is her, she & landlady. The new roomates are they.

As far as Australia goes, when she gave me the notice to move, I asked her for the owners phone # so I could speak with him personally. She told me he lived in australia, she wouldn't even give me his name, and I could not speak with him. That is when I checked the public records, and the owner was listed in, California. Wrong address and phone #. She was always keeping info away from the HOA board members. Telling me to keep quiet about renting to me.

When the judge dismissed my case, he told me the landlord had to go through the eviction process again. The night my roomates asked me why I hadn't move, a confrontation took place and their bedroom door was slammed into my arm and broke the door. They called the police, cause they thought I was evicted. They lied to the police and said I kicked in the door. The next day the landlord had some attorney in my condo with out my permission and the door was 10 times worse than when the police saw it the night before.
I'm afraid the landlord is bringing an attorney into this on another forcible detainer, for destruction of property inside the condo.

Thank you for being so patient w/me. I'm frazzled.
