What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX
My cousin is 100% disabled and receives a small amount from ssdi (compared to his prior earnings).

His wife works, but barely makes over min wage. They have a house they owe on, and two cars they own outright, one has almost 200,000 miles on it.

He has roughly $30,000 in credit card debt - probably more now with interest and fees. He hasn't been able to pay one dime on his debt in almost two years.

Can bankruptcy "zero him out", to where he doesn't have to pay at all? Will they lose their one good car?

Thank you in advance. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Yes, bk will relieve him of the cc det.
Tx, has very generous exemptions so, they'll likely lose nothing.

Most bk lawyers give free or low cost inital consultations. SPeak with a couple and see what they suggest.
