I got caught sending instant messages to a girl I'd known. The messages were in no way threatening, it just was name calling and bringing up stuff from her past (stupid and immature). It was not posted anywhere else and it happened about 5 or 6 times, meaning it was not a daily occurance or "obsessive". However, she hired an investigator and I was confronted by her relatives. I took responsibility for it and apologized. However, she never blocked the screen name I was using and was partaking in not only the conversations but putting up derrogatory and discrimatory "away" messages. I am not blaming her as this was my doing, but just wanted to make that point.

They have transcripts of my conversations with another person I was talking to that knows her as well. But once again, in no way threatening. I think she is looking to file charges against me. Should I contact a lawyer?
