Should I file with courts to open the lines of communication with mom?

Hi,

I am my sons dad. My sons mother has stopped communicating with me in regards to every aspect of his life. We share custody and she has him for 5 days and then I have him for 5 days. The mother hates me but like I emailed her, we need an open line of communication about our son. I recommended our old counsler, emails, talk on the phone and she hasn't responded one time.

I have vacation bible school next week, vacation in 4 weeks and other activities for the summer that needs addressed.

I hate to go to court again but what other options do I have? If I need a judge to order an open line of communication, can I file on my own or do I need to drag attorneys in again?

Is it allowed by law for me to contact her attorney via letter requesting this communication?

Send a letter to her attorney. If you take it to court and you WILL NOT get an answer by this month or even the end of summer most likely.

Do you think it is wise to send a copy to her also?

you should have been notified if the attorny withdrew from the case, to double check you can go to the courthouse and check your case folder.

You can also call the attorney's office directly and ask them if they are still representing her before sending over correspondence and can also ask for a fax number.
