My ex is living with someone 9 yrs older than her. It is a bad environment. We are 3 yrs apart. She is 17. All my phone calls to her were at his address, they are listed on my phone bill.


Should I "prove" she lived there, or just mentioning the facts to the judge is enough?

Proving she lives there is will only play a small part, you will have to prove it is an unfit and dangerous environment for your child in order for it to have relevance in court.

Can we assume that when you were together, she was 15 and you were 18, and therefore the relationship was illegal? And now that she's 17, the relationship she's in is no illegal?

Actually, I should have worded it differently. I do not want to prove 'her' unfit, the environment 'is' unfit.

But to prove the environment is unfit, you have to prove she lives there!

Yes, I realize that. She will be 18. She was 16 and 10 months when we had relations. In maryland the age for statutory rape is 16.

All I care about is getting joint custody with my child.
