My fiance's co-worker is selling this car and has been trying to get him to buy it so we agreed to go look at it. My fiance really liked it so this guy made us what seemed to be a really good deal. He was going to jail for 2 weeks so when we looked at this car he said if my fiance took him back and forth from jail to work that he would knock off $1000 from the car we were going to buy. So he only wanted $2500 total. With the $1000 knocked off we would only end
up paying him $1500. We made a written agreement up with
this guy that said that we would pay him $50 or more a week
each week until the $1500 was paid in full. This guy signed
the paper. So did my fiance. Now this guy changed his mind
and said that he wants $500 down on the car or else we can't
have it at all. My fiance has already drove him back and
forth from jail to work and this guy changed his mind. I don't know what to do. I've been thinking about taking him to small claims court for gas for the 2 weeks my fiance took him back and forth to work. The jail is like 35 miles out of my fiance's way and I think we got screwed out of this deal. What should I do?
