My parents were about to go with a different propane gas company. But, before they were able to. The propane company had filled their tank up without their permission and while they weren't home. They didn't order any more gas nor give them permission to fill it at any time. Do they have to pay for gas that they didn't order?

My response:
Was there a "service agreement" in effect? Normally, companies don't go around filling people's tanks without some sort of business history or agreement. If there is none, a letter or phone call to the company to come get their gas back would be appropriate. However, despite the absense of an agreement, if parents use any of the gas, they will be on the hook for the amount they used - - otherwise it's "unjust enrichment."
