What is the name of your state? North Carolina

OK...I am 25 living with my mother with my 3 children. I recently got stuck away from home and my mom reported me to social services and they are now thretening to put my kids into foster care. Of course there are a few more factors to why they are threatening that but you get the idea right? Anyways, I would rather see my ex-husband with my kids than them go to foster care. What can i do about this? Is it possible for me to sign my rights over to him or are we gonna have to go through a long drawn out court process?? Please help!!:(

Sorry...I consider him my ex...lol...
He is actually living in VA with his girlfriend and their son.
LOL? You seem to think your situation is funny. You leave your kids for days at a time, and you now want to dictate where they go?

I'm not pulling teeth anymore with you.

I dont think my situation is funny in the least. I have to laugh sometimes to keep myself from breaking down here. I love my kids with all my heart and have never had something like this happen. It honest to god wasnt something i intended to do. I would never intentionally leave my kids for days at a time. Never. If I honestly wasnt worried about all this I wouldn't even take time to bother trying to get advice. I want what's best from them and would really appreciate your advice here. Please.

How long were you "stuck" away from your kids? How long has your mother been keeping them?

Was dad notified about what was going on?

So you abandon your kids for days at a time and therefore risk losing them to foster care and your HUSBAND is living states away with his GIRLFRIEND and THEIR son, and now you want to send your children to live with him instead of cleaning up your act? Boy ya'll sound like a fun bunch.

Inquiring minds want to know: WHY did you get stuck away from home "unintentionally" and what are the "other factors" for which the state would like to take away your children?

My mom had them for a week and yes the dad was notified about me being gone. As far as him knowing anything about social services being involved he didnt know about that until we talked today.

There is definately far more information that is missing here....I do not see CPS just coming and taking the children because the mom is gone for a week!

This still does not answer any of the questions asked.

I do want to clean up my act and I am working on that. I would rather see my kids live with their father than be taken in by the state. Everyone makes mistakes and I know thats no excuse but I can say that I am at least working on correcting those mistakes.

If that is the case, go to court and modify the custody agreement so that their father has custody of the kids. Your mother has no rights to them.
