I am getting ready to go to court for a petty theft ticket this afternoon and I need some advise.
I have an abusive husband and I did a really stupid thing a few weeks ago becuase I was scared. He gave me $40.00 to go get his nephew a pair of pants for his b-day. I have a cell phone that he knows nothing about and I needed to pay the bill so I thought I could pay $20.00 on the phone and get a cheaper pair of pants but I didn't have anough money so I chose to take the pants I was just scared. I had a friend go buy a pair of pants and he knows nothing about this. I am frightened and what he will do to me. Is there anyway to keep him from finding out? I have never done anything like this before and it wa sso stupid what are my options? And what is going to happen at court today?

What are you talking about?Your abusive hubby gave you $40.00 to purchase a pair of pants for his nephew and you paid a bill instead, then were caught stealing a pair of pants?

yes. I had to pay my cell phone that I have that he does not know about it is a safety thing. and then I did not have the $ he gave me to buy his nephew a b-day pair of pants so I took them and got caught. is there anyway to keep my hubby from finding out?

I really doubt it. If he makes you that frightened, you need to leave him.
