mY GRANDDAUGHTER WORKED FOR SIX WEEKS, THE COMPANY SHE WORKED FOR CLAIMED THEY MAILED HER PAY BUT SHE DID NOT GET IT. THE COMPANY REFUSES TO PAY HER AND TELLS HER SHE MUST PAY TO STOP PAYMENT ON THE CHECK THEY CLAIMED THEY MAILED ON 9 JUNE 2006 FROM FL. WHAT ARE HER OPTIONS TO GET THIS COMPANY TO PAY HER. THIS IS HER FIRST JOB.

they should be able to assist her in obtaining her pay. Other alternative, would be to pay for the stop payment and reissue of the check. I would suggest that she request the new check to be either picked up in person, or sent by certified mail.
