In 2017 our business replaced all the windows in a clients home, after completing the job she then asked us to complete another project that we would not normally take on. She asked us to redo all the drywall and paint here entire garage. We went above and beyond for this client, after agreeing to do the job for her and painting the entire garage one color she later asked us to do 2 colors which we agreed to do as a favor. She then asks us to purchase and install a furnace, we agree and after all is said and done we send her the bill and refuses to pay the installation on the furnace. Starting to realize she is not the quality customer we thought she was, we don't fight her on it and accept payment for doing the drywall and painting. I will also mention the fact that when we replaced the windows and doors on here house we did the garage man door. Beside the man door in the garage was a old window that we had a verbal discussion about. We suggested that she should replace it because it was old and weathered, she then answers that it is out of here budget and that she cannot afford to replace it. So when we finished painting we put trim around the window and made a bench for the garage as another favor. A year later she contacted us blaming us for the window sweating and creating mold. She told us she had someone come in to access the issue and so we asked for the documentation that she was provided but she refused to do so. We refused to do anything for her about the window considering all the extras we did for free, and her refusal to pay for the furnace installation, as well as the fact that the window was not supplied nor installed by us. She then makes a complained to the BBB explaining we are at fault and did nothing to reconcile the situation, causing our BBB rating to fall to a C+, thus hurting our business as they are a recognized Business review platform.
Not only does she have the date wrong, but all of here allegations or strictly hearsay. We did not agree to provide warranty on a window we did not install, nor did the trim contribute to any moisture build up. The climate during winter reaches above -30, and we have no control over what she sets her furnace at so with that being said there would be condensation when opening the garage door and pulling a vehicle with snow on it into the garage that is set to be heated to a much warmer temperature than outside.

It appears you did not respond to the BBB customer complaint. That is generally the first step in resolving it.

That said, FreeAdvice answers US legal questions and addresses US legal issues. Because your company appears to be located in Alberta, you should try to find assistance in Canada.

Good luck.
