What is the name of your state? New York

To keep a very long story short, I have been charged fraudulently with harassment and stalking by a party with absolutely no evidence against me. To the contrary I have documented proof to the contrary that has my lawyer all smiles for my defense. My issue is this; the party who leveled the charges at me did so knowing full well he was lying to the police purely to have me arrested, which means I have documented evidence of his false statement which were meant purely to tarnish my name around my community. I know the obvious action with this is to counter sue, but the business partner of the party who had me arrested has been telling the schools and other establishments that I am known and respected in that he has placed identical charges on me, despite his name being mentioned nowhere on the police report. I have several witnesses who are willing to submit affidavits to this effect. My question is, do I sue them separately, jointly, or is there a better way of handling this situation that I have yet to think of?
