What is the name of your state? GA

Since November, I have gone to court 4 times--twice for my boyfriend (Adam), and twice for myself. I'll call his ex-girlfriend CC for Crazy Chick.

Adam has a website where he posts pictures of friends and basically has an online diary. Everyone knows that if they email him something funny, it might end up on the site. And we all get a kick out of it. CC and I are on the same prayer request list, which is where I met her and started emailing her a couple years ago.

In any case, in November, CC filed a protective order against Adam due to his website content. She had a fit that there were still pictures of her on his site from when they were dating. Not that it matters, but these pictures were just pictures of them hanging out with other friends. It's not like they were nudes or anything. CC had an outburst in court and said that the judge just had to make it so that Adam had to sit on one side of church and she on the other. The order was granted and Adam was told to take everything related to her off the site.

Oops, we missed 1 diary entry about her from their dating days. So we went to court to fight her charge of contempt. This time we took a lawyer. Adam was found innocent because he'd made an obvious good faith effort to remove everything about her. 3 days later, I arrived at work only to find a message on my phone from a deputy stating that a protective order had been filed against me. 2 days after that, I received a piece of mail stating that she had filed an application for my arrest. She cited 3 emails from me as her reason for fearing for her life.

I went to court once to request that the court date be moved so that my lawyer could be there. The second time I went to court, I had both the protective order case and the warrant case. After the judge threw out the protective order case, he went ahead and threw out the warrant case because it requires more evidence than the protective order.

Over the past week, she has emailed me 5 times to tell me she's been kicked out of the church we all attend. I contacted the head priest of the church yesterday because I never intended for her to not be able to attend church. I found out from him that CC has told everyone who will listen that Adam was held in contempt of court, she has a protective order against me, and that I have threatened to kill her. The priest asked me to call her and tell her that I will no longer be accepting any form of contact from her, and to ask her to give him a call to discuss the church situation.

The call seemed to go ok except for the ending. She started asking why Adam doesn't like her and saying other things. I hung up after telling her I couldn't talk to her anymore. An hour later, a deputy called and said that CC was trying to apply for a warrant. However, after the deputy saw the file on her, he told her that he'd open an investigation. The investigation has already been closed and I have been found innocent.

So far, Adam has spent $1,000 in lawyer fees and I have spent $1,000 in lawyer fees. We have both missed 4 days of work and I missed 2 nights of college. Since I was just hired at my current job 11 months ago, I did not have any time off accumulated and was not paid those 4 days.

Can I sue for harassment and/or slander?
