Hello-I am 35 dating a man who has been separated for the last 5 years, diovorce proceedings started 4/2005. Soon to be ex-wife is slandering my name-saying very untrue things about me-I will not confront her in person because I don't think it's the right way to handle this. She is not letting me be around my boyfriend's daughter when he has his parenting time. I know what she is saying is false and want to be the better person but would hiring an attorney to write her a letter saying to "back off" do any good? I am really trying to handle this in a mature way and if sitting back and laughing is the way to do it, then that's fine too.
Thanks!

Then try laughing because all you can do by going after her in any way is to put more fuel on a fire that ultimately will only hurt the child involved.

I appreciate your reply. I do not want to add more fuel to the already burning out of control fire!
