Michigan I recently found out that my stepdaughter is telling people that I am a pediphile and she also stated that she is trying to obtain a warrant for the hard drive on my computer. What remedy do I have and what steps should be taken to stop her as this is an extremely false statement? Can a person just go complain to the police department and get them to issue a warrant?

Q: What remedy do I have and what steps should be taken to stop her as this is an extremely false statement?

A: Hire a lawyer for about $10K and sue her. Then it will be all over the news media and really embarass her.

Q: Can a person just go complain to the police department and get them to issue a warrant?

A: If the person can produce the evidence or tell the cops where the evidence is.
