What is the name of your state? TX

Late last month I left my job (technically fired) after being accused of stealing. My boss had absolutely no proof of me stealing, as she was mainly angry with me because she was having a bad week and took it out on me. Long story short, I no longer work there.

Recently I've been finding out she is telling customers and friends of mine who still visit the store that I was fired for stealing, and she has also been saying that she probably thought I have stolen in the past (money, merchandise, etc). Not only that, but she is also telling people I'm a manipulative, two-faced, evil person.

I talked to her in person about all of this, and she completely crawfishes. Denying everything and telling me it's not her that's doing it, it's her parents. Does anyone have any idea what can be done about this? One of the people she is telling this to is my instructor at college which I am getting my degree from. This is starting to really tear up my scholastic and social life, and if my ex-boss has her way, will tear up my chance at future employment.

Well, what you can do is prove it was her. Then MAYBE you have a case of libel that can be filed IF you can prove damages.

So, what are your damages?
