I have a reoccuring problem at work. A fellow employee contually starts rumors about me and nothing is ever done to repremand her. Most recently she accused me of stealing and I am afraid her accusations have gotten back to my boss and the owner. They are absolutely not true, but given the past handling of incidences with her, I am afraid that my job could be on the line. What are my rights if I am fired? And if I'm not fired do I have any right to take action against her for defamation of my character to the rest of our coworkers?
