What is the name of your state? Texas

I belonged to a forum for collectors, recentlybecause of stupidity and anger I was banned from the forum, no big deal there, I sent many emails to the administrator and owner to apologize for my behaiviour but they went unanswered. Recently I posted to another like-forum that they frequent to get thier attention, finally getting a bit of response and what I thought would be a peacful resolution I was decided to drop the whole matter, until I saw on their forum they had decided to start a thread about me and say things that were both true and untrue. I asked for the thread to be removed based on the part that was not true was deflamatory, this was asked in a private email, they not only went and made fun of the email and the request but posted part of the email there! Now it has always been my understanding most ISPs do NOT allow posting of private emails on public forums.

Is there anything here that I can do to get this post removed?

no. The forum AND the e-mail are the property of the receiver and as such, they can do what they want with it.

Do you think NOW would be a good time to let it drop?

I took the time to read several posts in this forum before even deciding on posting here, and was just wondering do you ever help anyone or have anything constructive to say? Most of the posts where I have seen you reply you have either totally disregarded the person and thier concern or just been totally outright hateful.

Point to ANY part of my post that was hateful.

And as far as being helpful, I don't give a damn if you don't like the response. Just because it's not what you wanted to hear doesn't mean it's not legally valid.

YOU can keep this going as long as you want. But you have absolutely no legal basis to force them to take the posts down.

Blues: Give me the link to the forum and I will take a look. Or, copy the statements and post them here.

BTW, not ALL email can be posted on the Internet. I'm sure this does not apply in your case, but if an email contained extremely private facts about the writer, posting it could qualify as an invasion of privacy.

You can find out the details about invasion of privacy by doing a search on this site. A good site with info on defamation is here:
