I am a water operator of a small water system. There is a person (a member of our water association) going around putting flyers on our customers doors telling them that I don't know what I am doing, that i put water meters in backwards and just a bunch of other stuff that of course isn't true. She has also verbally told this to several people outside of our water district. Is this considered slander & libel? I am thinking this could be harmful to any other employment that I may seek as a water operator. Can I sue her in small claims court?

Anyone that knows this woman should know not to believe her. No we haven't lost any business. What I was concerned with was what she was saying and passing out I felt could be detremental to any other employment of mine.

**A: hire an attorney to request a TRO and prove that this lady is all wet.

Geeeeez....don't tell the judge that no one would believe her and she hasn't hurt your business. Are you trying to kill your own case?
