I am a small business owner and I had a customer in, who had a group of attorneys that I know handling a case of hers. I think that firm is quite good and I said so to this customer. The lawyers at the firm are all female and there is a certain female atmosphere about the place.

My customer mentioned that she felt comfortable with that law firm because they are all female and that is whey she picked them. During the conversation with my customer I mistakenly used the word "bitches", smiling about the female atmosphere, to describe the law firm. Sometimes I have a big mouth and blurt things out, and I regret using that term to describe that law firm.

Do I have any liability?

looks like i'm okay and the lawyers are not going to be after me, I actually called the person today and apologized, stating that it was inappropriate, and without a doubt everything is cool! I did the right thing. Hey, you guys/gals know how lawyer are sometimes<g>.

Actually, you could call them bitches all day everyday, as far as the courts are concerned.

It's not very good business, though, to call your customers "bitches."
