I live in Arkansas and am an assistant principal. I have been in education for 24 years. I do not live in the town/district where I work, but my incident did not happen at work.
This episode begins about 1.5 weeks ago when 2 of my small dogs ran out of the front door where we live at the end of a cul-de-sac. It was about 9:30pm and very dark outside. I ran down the street after them. I heard a car coming and the dogs were in the middle of the street right in the curve. I held my hands to my face, waiting for them to be hit. I shouted, "Slowdown." The lady driver (who was evidently picking up her child at a neighbor's house) came to an abrupt stop and rolled down the passenger window. She said, "Excuse me?" I said, "You need to slow down." She said, "You need to keep your damn dogs out of the street."
Yesterday, on a Sunday, 1.5 weeks later, at 2pm in the afternoon, this same lady was coming the opposite direction. I was standing at the end of a neighbor's driveway with my next-door neighbor's son who was riding his bike and waiting to cross the street. She crept along. I made a sweeping motion with my right arm for her to go on. Again, she comes to a sudden stop and starts yelling about me being an assistant principal. I told her I wasn't the one who had used profanity. She said, "You flipped me off. I'm calling your school tomorrow."
Well.....she did call my principal today. Told my boss that I said, "You need to slow down, bitch." She also said that yesterday I flipped her off and that I also yelled, "White trash a**h***. She also said I talk like a sailor." Sure. The house I was standing in front of belongs to one of the teachers at my school and she was right there painting her front door.
My thought is that I have worked too hard to let some loose cannon be able to call my place of work and lie about me. Neither of these two encounters even happened at my place of work; with any of my parents. I had already told my principal of this stuff this morning. When the call came in the afternoon I had the school resource officer file a complaint since it now became an issue at work.
Need advice. I am good at taking care of others. Just not sure how to take care of myself. Need some support. Thanks.

Go to your backyard with a good knife. Find a young hickory sapling and cut off a long, thing branch. The next time this bitch drives through the neighborhood pull her out of the car by her hair, turn her ass over, pull up (or down) her drawers and let go with the switch until she cries like a dog.

Otherwise, let it go. It's just hilbillies acting stupid.

Until you have suffered damages as the law sees them, you cannot take any legal action. If, for example, you lose your job because she called your assistant principal, THEN you can sue . Until then, let the whole thing die down.

And now... for a dose of reality in this thread.
There is nothing you can do. That other person has the right to voice her complaint, with you, your boss or even the local newspaper. You then have the right to equally express your opposite 'version'. Her statements are protected by a little thing called 'free speech'.... as are yours.

Bottom line.... this is simply childish schoolyard antics. Let it die the swift death it deserves.
