What is the name of your state? Michigan

I have a neighbor who has engaged two neighbors behind me to watch me and my house when she is out walking the dogs in the backyard of our non-fence community. I had to file a complaint against my neighbors as they were walking the dogs in the dark and enlisted the assistance of neighbors to intimidate me while I watched from my kitchen window. Today, the neighbor called her next door neighbor to report my whereabouts by looking in my house, and as I looked out my kitchen window, I could see the other neighbor on the phone looking over in my house. Once I noticed her, she moved quickly from the family room window to the patio window behind the blinds and continued reporting my whereabouts.

The neighbor with the dogs is portraying me as a stalker to my other neighbors who no longer speak to me, since I restrict their ability to let their dogs defecate in my lawn. Additionally, I am a single black man who lives in a family oriented setting. My neighbors do not like the fact that I am single without children. My neighbors with the dogs are white.

What steps can I take to protect myself from this behavior and the neighbor's slanderous communications to the other neighbors?

If she has communicated slanderous information over the phone to our mutual neighbors, what recourse do I have?

Buy a doberman and chain it in your yard with enough chain to reach your property line.

Well, at this point none since there is no way in hell you can prove such statements have been made. And even if they were, your neighbors are entitled to their opinion.

It's kind of like you calling a bunch of your buddies to come over each and every Monday night, Saturday and Sunday, have them dressed in do-rags and colors and having a party ....not a damn thing they can do about it.

Interesting response. I'll keep the "ghetto" theme in mind when I have a Super Bowl party. I guess when you go there, YOU go there!!!

Anyway, I get your point!!!

Thanks for the response

File a complaint with who? Why is walking a dog in the dark illegal?

Stephen,

I filed a complaint with the Home Owner's Association as the dogs were unleashed and allowed to wander the property while the neighbor used a flashlight to monitor the dogs whereabouts.

Now the neighbor didn't have the customer "sh**" bag to pick up the busy work, so if you lose your dogs spot at night the crap stays in my lawn.

It's not illegal to walk dogs at night, but it is inconsiderate if you allow the dogs to urinate and crap in your neighbors lawn to keep the crap out of yours.

And yes, when you file a complaint and your neighbors spread rumors of intimidation, which is basically their opinion, not illegal, or slanderous, your reputation takes a hit and now you have to attempt to defend yourself. Although it's not slander, I think when a group of people get together and decide to target you based on some BS which is not true, there should be some action taken! Oh well Life is always not fair.

Two 100 watt speakers hidden in the bushes.
two lines of 100 ft. speaker wire.
One RCA jack
two infrared sensors
100 ft of 6-gauge electrical wire
One mp3 recorder in loop
One R10 electrical connector.

Connect speaker wire to speakers individually. Splice the ends of the wires together, twisted and soldered to the RCA Jack. Insert jack into mp3 player.

Next, set infrared sensors at diagonals on your lawn so that they create a connected line. Wire sensors to R10 Electrical connector, plug mp3 player into same R10 connector.

Insert recording of rabid dogs into recorder.

Step outside and break connection between infrared devices.

This action should trigger the R10 to complete the circuit, send electricity to the mp3 player, begin playing the recorder which will send the signal to the speakers.

Volumn to taste.
:D
