What is the name of your state?Georgia
I was wondering about a possible case against a video rental company where I was working and was terminated for theft but when I was in the room with the loss prevention manager of the district and the district leader they said that "everything that goes on in this room will stay in this room and no one will find out anything you say" so I told them what I knew and the
next day I was fired. I went into the store last night and one
of my good friends who happens to be a manager there asked me about them
firing me for stealing. I asked her how she knew about it and she said
that she "heard it through the grapevine." Only three people were supposed
to know about that and now everyone knows. Now if i'm not mistaking would
that not be slander? and Defemation of Character?

IF you really did steal from the store, then you have no case. Further more, they would have a case on you if they wanted to take the matter further.

Nope, it would not be.

Never stole anything

They fired me because they said that I have stolen something but they would not show me the proof that they said that they had. They said they had it on video but when I asked they refused to show it and told me that if I wanted to see it they could show it to me at the police station while I was in handcuffs

The Offer did not stand

After telling them that I would go with them and they could show it to me and a lawyer they said that they would rather not and would not comment any further on the situation said if i needed to know anything else to contact one of them

Did you take anything? You said they wanted to talk too you and anything you said, would stay in that room. What did you have to say? The problem here is if you did do anything wrong knowingly, you have no case & you got what was coming to you.
