What is the name of your state? Texas

Question? Are school teachers who are defamed by their superiors in both written and oral able to sue either the supervisor or the school system or both?

No one with responsibility to give a valid legal opinion is going to answer such a broad question.

Come back with specifics of what specific statements were made and the situation (in what context) they were made.

Teacher has been repremanded in both oral and written form for not following teaching procedures when in fact, there is written evidence to prove that the teacher was following teaching procedures that were sent and approved by the district. This principal has on many occasions, told this teacher that in essence, in the presence of others that the teacher is a troublemaker, and a non-conformant. This teacher has the praise of most fellow teachers and also students but because of a personal conflict that the principal has with this teacher, this teacher is having a hard time teaching to their best ability. Is this slander?

Is this slander. No. It's a difference of opinion as to procedures.

Is the teacher a troublemaker? It is possible to have support and pariase of others and stay within the rules and still be a troublemaker.
