I am a minor and was recently interviewed by my high school guidance conseulor over a bus incident involving an unknown person. The unknown person had claimed to the bus driver that I had referred to them in a derogatory manner. I do not engage in any type of hostility on the bus and the way that they claimed that I referred to them was a racial slur. I strongly detest racism and made that very clear to the conseulor and the conseulor seemed to agree with my stance. The next day via postal mail, I recieve an official bus conduct report that sustains what the unknown subject and the bus driver claimed. Can I file against the school for slander or other similiar civil charges?

No one can answer that.

By-the-by, just to keep things all legal like here, I don't see the "hersay" in this. You have a witness saying what he perceived. That is allowed into evidence all the time. Only when the out-of-court statement is offered for its truth do we start going down a hearsay analysis. They aren't claiming that the person is, in reality, a racial *&%$#@, are they?
