What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC

I fell at a major chain store last December in.... ewwww.... vomit. Apparently someone upchucked near the store entrance, the store was notified and called housekeeping but did nothing to warn shoppers (the spot was about 6 inch by 4 inch) I was not looking at the floor and quite literally slipped and fell. Whcih per their video occured 3 minutes after they were notified, if that matters (the head of security told me that... but probably shouldn't have)

Fast forward, I had some minor injuries as diagnosed by my dr... knee sprain, hip bruising (internal and external) whip lash (I know - weird, but my neck, back, arms took a lot of the impact) anyhow it took about 8 weeks to heal completley... hip took the longest. I do not work so no lost income.

I sent my bills and a demand letter to the store's insurer (Liberty Mutual) thinking even though it was quite disgusting I figured it is a small claim and could settle on my own. Medical bills totaled $1080.

The insurance company now says they will not settle with me until I provide them with the statements of what my private (not medicaid/medicare) insurance covered. Should I send them this information? It would seem that if they reduce the medical bills by that the settlement would be lower and if my insurer expects payment I am out of luck. (I have a 90% coverage policy). Do I send them my insurance statements? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
