On March 2, 2000 Islipped and fell on red brick stairs at 3400 Bissonnet in Houston Texas it was raining. I had previous injuries to my neck and back also I have fablymaglia. The fell compounded my injuries
and I was placed back on meds which I have not taken for 2 Years. My questions are (1) How do I go about finding out the effects of red brick stairs in slippery weather and whether or not the owner knew about the risk accompaning the premise condition? Also how can I find out if similiar incidents have occured at this premise (dates, weather conditions) cocerning slips and fall on red brick stairs . NOTE: Most companies have rubber pallets on these types of stairs. The incident occured outside and I was wearing closed in rubber sole shoes. the company offered Med Care only. I am seeking medcare, pain and suffering, lost wages and court costs if applicable. Also a referral to an attorney here in Houston who will work on continuecy.

Was the property a private home or commercial establishment open to the public? You need to hire a personal injury attorney who will in turn hire an expert consultant in slip and fall and premise liability cases. It will be the consultant that determines the hazards etc. The attorney would enter into a phase called discovery to find out the history of an previous cases, reports, maintenance etc. www.attorneypages.com

Thank you for your assistance. The property is a commercial site and through research I did find out that they do not have municipal immunity. I will take your advice and contact a personal injury lawyer asap. When researching for an attorney how do I find out if there is a conflict of interest in representing my case? Whether or not the attorney is committed to the insurance company before detailing my case through consultation. Is it Lawyers ethic not to mislead an individual when he have a greater interest in the defendant? I am seeking good cause under Premise Liability but I need a good attorney since I cannot do the discovery myself (my resources are limited and outdated). I really wish I knew how to access public records or case laws in Texas concerning this matter. St. Paul is a large insurance company and handle huge cases but to offer me MedCare only they have got to be out of their ever loving minds!!!!!thks again

The attorney is required to inform you of any conflict before legal representation. And the attorney is required to turn down representation if there is a conflict of interest.

Frustrated here in Texas can't find a personal injury attorney wiling to take case. Responses are not taking personal injury cases at this time. Only workerscomp cases seem to be their target. In 1991 I tried to get an attorney for workmans comp but at the time lawyers said the same thing those cases are too complicated and hard to win. Well I won my own case with limited benefits lifetime medical but I was terminated, employer made false jpr's the whole nine yards. They only paid me for 8% disability and threw the burdern on Social Security. I guess this is the way corporations get away without paying their way. This really should be investigated. !!!!!!!I NEED A PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEY ASAP PLEASE GIVE ME A REFERRAL !!!!! IN TEXAS AND FIGHTING LEGAL BATTLES ALONG. I EVEN HAVE PRE-PAID LEGAL THINKING I WOULD HAVE AN ATTORNEY AT MY DISPOSAL. I was told they were only there for consultation and referrals, but that's not what the sales rep said upon membership. I know ignorance is no excuse but all information needed is blocked. The insurance co. if asked are they liable to give information of other incidents (slips and fall cases occurances at the same address?). How do I obtain this information without an attorney? How do I find out the composition and effects of red bricks used as sidewalks and steps for public use. Thank you for your time. From frustrated me. It appear the insurance companies and corporations have their evil in place against citizens because this is an injury in fact with constructive intent. BUT I NEED AN ATTORNEY TO PROVE IT> I HAVE THE WITNESSES, THE INJURY DOCUMENTATION< LOSS OF WAGES DOCUMENTATION, all I need to know are previous injuries on this type foundation (dates) and effects (Shouldn't rubber pallets be used so the harm would not reoccur.
