NEED HELP PLEASE

i am being sued for a sum of money that i borrowed from an individual. i do owe him some money but not the amount he is sueing for. my questions are. 1. i borrowed a sum of 1750.00 from this person and have payed back 440.00 of the amount so far. the problem is he is sueing me for 2900.00 saying he took the money from his credit card that he loaned me and that he has and is paying interest and payments on the card. i did not no he took the money from his credit card. i have been slow in paying the money back but never the less am paying. do i owe him for the credit card debt or is that his problem for taking it from there to loan to me. i was not aware that he took it from there to loan me. second question if he is entitled to this money and he gets a judgement against me with all the bills and money i owe due to my divorce which is the reason for the loan in the first place can i combine the amount of this judgement into my bankruptcy amount and be free of the debt. by the way in case i did it wrong i am from oklahoma. thanks so much! by the way i have no problem paying the man what i owe him just not more. but he won't except that.
