Help, Need advise. I signed a 2 year contract with a fitness center when I lived in Edison, NJ. Now I have moved to Nutley, NJ. When I joined the fitness center, I had informed the membership consultant that I would be moving to Northern New Jersey. She told me that it would be no problem, once I move, I would be able to "transfer" my membership to a "affiliated" gym in the "affiliates book" as long as I moved more than 25 miles away.

Now I am being told that I cannot "transfer" b/c I am not 25 miles from their affiliate, meaning one of their own gym. I was under the impression that I would have to be 25 miles from the Edison gym and would be able to "transfer" to a gym in the "affiliates book". There are 6-7 gyms near my new residence that are in the affiliates book.

I want to file a claim in Small Claims Court, but I am not sure if I have a case.

Please advise.
