What is the name of your state? virginia

internet auction related issue, won and paid for some graded sports cards over $1500. seller never sent items, kept emailing me excuses. filed complaint with paypal, stated that couldn't get my money back (seller closed their acct before paypal could seize it or act), same deal with ebay. seller was delisted and banned from both sites. filed internet fraud complaint with FBI, FBI sent it to my local police dept, they forwarded it to the atty general for the seller's area (CA).

Atty general's office filed my complaint sent a letter to the seller asking to clear up this matter, seller refused to respond. ag told me that i would have to take legal action since the seller is refusing to coooperate. just wondering where would i file the venue, in virginia or in CA where this person resides.

You would be best to file in CA. If you filed in Virginia and won, you would still have to domesticate the judgement in CA. This will probably cost more than $1500 so now you have to ask if it is worth it.

If your payment was made with PayPal AND you used a credit card... AND if you still within the allowed period (60 days from statement?), you can dispute the charge with your credit card.
