Does any one know the difference between a trial and a hearing. We have already had the trial and now have a hearing scheduled because they would not fulfill their part of the judges orders. Is a hearing just like a trial or we just there to clear up the mess from their not fulfilling the judges orders. Can old issues be revisited? Thank you...

A hearing is held as a result of one of the parties post judgment motion. It could be held for a variety of things; including to challenge a garnishment, Order to compel, etc.

The party filing the motion is required to have noticed the opposing party and that notice should show the reason for the requested hearing.
