i recently went to court on a petite larceny case it got dropped to a violation and i have to pay restitution for the items that where taken because they where evidently broken when owner got them back this happened on nov28,2001. On march 14 i received a notice for a small claims court from the same person for $610 of cds he claims i took this was not in the initiall report for the petite larceny case my question is does a sort of double jeoperdy law apply here since i'm already paying restitution in this case?

please help,
