I AM A CONTRACTOR OUT OF FLORIDA. I DID A JOB IN ILLINOIS FOR A CONTRACTOR OUT OF CALIFORNIA, COMPLETED THE END OF OCTOBER 2000. INVOICED HIM, NO RESPONSE. HOW AND WERE DO I SUE HIM?

What does your contract say??? It should include a clause stiputating what states laws are to be applied in the event of a dispute.
