My ex-landlord is taking me to small clams for damage done to the carpet wile i lived there. First a store bought carpet cleaner that bleached the floor did the damage. Two spots by myself and two spots by the landlord when he tested the cleaner on the carpet him self. Also we never signed any rental agreement or any legal form. He never asked for a security deposit. There was never any talk of paying for any repairs when i moved out. Where do I stand?

Did you fill out and sign a unit condition report when you moved in? In Washington, if the landlord doesn't have a unit condition report, he can't charge you for *any* damages. Even if he doesn't need the report, he still has to prove you caused the damage.
