What is the name of your state? Illinois

My cousin recieved her social security statement (estimated benefits statement) and its reporting taxed social security earnings for years that she did not work. Stay at home mom raising two kids. Now her husband worked during those years and she started working about 5 years ago. Does this have to do with filing there taxes jointly with one income? I thought you didn't recieve any sort of estimated earnings if you do not work?

If I answered my own question, please let me know, :) and curious, how can she get this corrected?

Thanks.

Your cousin can call the SSA 1-800 # and ask them about it. The statement says something along those lines. It may be on the back.

Sounds like someone may have used her social security number to work. Call social security 1-800-772-1213, they can help.
